Shipping and Policies |

The Stained Glass Candy Company is a family business, and all of our candy is hand poured & even hand wrapped. There are no factory assembly lines, no huge wads of candy being extruded through machines (remember those extruding Playdo machines, yuck!) & no candy being lopped off into indiscriminate shapes! We pride ourselves on making the most beautiful & most flavorful hard candy available. Our candy orders are hand packed and shipped out via United States Priority Mail. The time from placing an order to receiving it is usually 1-1.5 weeks (although during the last week before Christmas we have extra help so orders are generally shipped out that day, if the order is received before noon EST, and 99% of the time shipping time is 1-2 business days,......including Saturday. This applies to all orders received through noon EST, December 21st.). Orders for 40 lbs or more of candy may be shipped via FedEx Ground and so may take longer. About U.S. Priority Mail tracking numbers: The U.S. Post Office on-line (usps.com) does have tracking numbers for Priority Mail, but, alas, they only show 2 things: when they've been "notified" that they're going to be receiving a package for delivery, and then one more entree after you've received your package. It would be nifty if they showed some logged travel stops of packages in between start and end, but they don't. The good news is their package delivery, we have found, to be quite excellent, and you generally receive your candy within 2-3 business days after it has been shipped. Delivery Confirmation: All packages are sent with delivery confirmation. Someone must be there to accept delivery; packages cannot be left at a door, on a porch, etc. This is necessary so that there is both proof of delivery and also so that the candy is not left in inclement weather. If no one is home, the post office will leave a notice that there is a package available to be picked up at the post office. For orders outside the U.S., please select Priority Mail International as the shipping method when going through the checkout web pages. Duties and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the recipient.
Checks - we do not accept checks. However, we do accept money orders. Just e-mail us your order and address, and we'll let you know the total with shipping. (note: U.S. Post Office money orders are fine.) ..... or, you can calculate the amount right now. It's easy; here's how: Add all of your items to your shopping cart. Submit them. Then enter your billing and shipping information and submit that (it will need this to calculate your shipping amount). The next screen will show your total with shipping and ask for your credit card information. As long as a credit card number is not entered, no order is placed. You can even print out that screen and the billing/shipping page (use the "back" button) and put that in the mail with your money order. Or, you can just send us an e-mail, and we'll e-mail you back with the amount.
Refunds/Returns - we're sorry, but candy is a food product and is not returnable.
